Royal Family Kids Camp

we are a co-ed camp for children in foster care, ages 7–11, who have experienced relational trauma. The camp provides life-changing experiences that build resiliency, self-esteem, hope, and lasting positive memories. During the week of camp, children get to simply be kids again—swimming, fishing, playing games, making arts and crafts, performing in a talent show, celebrating at a special birthday party, and so much more. It’s a safe, joy-filled environment where they can create new and wonderful childhood memories that remind them they are valued and loved. RFKC is part of the national organization For The Children, founded in 1985. Since then, more than 100,000 children have attended camps across 46 states and 11 countries.

Our camp would not be possible without a dedicated team of counselors and staff. If you have experience working at camps, or you have never been to a camp in your life, we need you! As part of our team, you will be provided with all the information, training, and preparation you need to have an incredible time. Be warned! Should you choose to join our team your life will never be the same again. Camp is a place where the love of God is experienced firsthand, and lives are transformed. As a counselor you will have two children dedicated to your care during camp. You will be partnered with a team of other counselors and children in a cabin. Your job is to walk alongside them through the week of camp and have fun! As a staff member you will be assigned to a specific activity within the camp. There are a wide variety of roles to fill including drama team, woodworking, swimming, games, nurses, runners, etc. Your job is to help facilitate the activities for all our counselors and campers.
